Launching Ambitious Second CFGD Quarter!

Following the successful pilot quarter of the Collaborative Focus Group Discussions (CFGD), we are thrilled to announce the commencement of Quarter 2 of the initiative from September 2025. Built on feedback from members and facilitators, this second phase introduces several structural innovations, a broader intellectual scope, new facilitation methods, and exciting additions including simulation-based tools and expert guest engagements. The CFGD platform continues to serve as an intellectual commons, bringing together members from all seven ISYPO focus groups to engage with political theory at its intersection with real-world issues across disciplines including global health, environmental policy, cybersecurity, law, development economics, STEM, AI technology, and cultural studies.

This quarter's CFGDs will feature more sophisticated facilitation design, deeper analytical frameworks, and more interactive engagement formats that allow participants to not only learn but co-create, debate, and innovate.

New Features and Enhancements in Quarter 2

  1. Modular Facilitation Triads & Rotating Moderators

  2. Interactive Tools and MethodologiesQuarter 2 will incorporate the following innovative tools:

  3. Expert Guest Contributors

  4. Theory & Praxis Dual Layer Design

  5. Foundations in Theory (exploring the theoretical architecture of the topic) and Applications in Praxis (testing those theories against modern dilemmas (through case studies, simulations, or comparative models).

  6. Inter-Group Think Tank Challenges

Upcoming themes of discussion will be published on this page soon.

Members are encouraged to participate with renewed energy and prepare to question assumptions. For more information on session themes, schedules, or facilitation roles, members should refer to their Incentivate Portals or contact their research heads directly.

Stay curious, stay rigorous. The dialogue continues.

- Saksham Tankala, Director of Political Engagement @ ISYPO
