Admissions
At ISYPO, the admissions process is an opportunity to welcome curious minds, passionate learners, and aspiring young leaders into our vibrant community. Process
APPLICATIONS CYCLE OPENS
ISYPO hosts only 2 application cycles.
- Fall Intake (Research Term 1)
- Spring Intake (Research Term 3)

On occasion, ISYPO opens off-cycle applications for previously denied applicants.
APPLICATION SUBMISSIONS
All applications are submitted through the online platform before the due date and time. Applications involve a letter of motivation, list of experiences, and a mandatory letter of recommendation from an academic professional.
APPLICATIONS CYCLE CLOSED
During this time, applications are thoroughly screened by the core team. Successful applicants are emailed within 28 days with a date and scheduled time for an online interview.
DECISIONS RELEASED
Decisions are then released on the online portal and//or through a private email; following which, a new member 'induction socials' session takes place.
The entire process from start to finish takes about 3 months.
FINAL SCREENING
After all interviews have taken place, a separate member from the core team, intensively screens through each recorded interview and final decisions are made regarding an applicant's status.
INTERVIEW SEASON
Successful applicants are split into two batches. Each applicant undergoes a 40min intensive interview inclusive of a high-pressure simulation test. The interviews take place virtually.
Eligibility and Requirements
At ISYPO, we believe in extending our mission of providing opportunities to motivated and enthusiastic students from around the world. Applicants must meet the required criteria to be eligible for our program. A strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in international affairs, politics, or diplomacy proves that the applicant can effectively manage their time and balance their priorities. As all ISYPO activities are conducted in English, a good command of the English language is essential.
Additionally, an eagerness to engage in dynamic discussions, debates, and collaborative activities is paramount. Given that ISYPO is international, a willingness to embrace and learn from diverse perspectives and cultures goes without saying. The application process at ISYPO is designed to be inclusive, and we value applicants' diverse backgrounds and experiences. While these criteria serve as a general guideline, we assess each applicant holistically, considering their inquisition, achievements, personal character, and potential for contributing to the ISYPO community. We are excited to welcome young, ambitious individuals ready to embark on an inspiring journey of international politics and diplomacy.

Any applicants who do not meet these criteria will immediately be disqualified during the application screening process. ISYPO and its core members reserve the authority to add or remove any eligibility requirements on a case-to-case basis.
